🧠 "Future Meeting Space" was launched in 2015 by the GCB German Convention Bureau e.V. in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO.
With its Research Focus 2024, the Future Meeting Space (FMS) innovation network addressed the question of which standards and processes will remain in the business event ecosystem in the future, which will disappear and which will emerge. Under the motto "New Potentials & Timeless Classics: Business Events in a Transformative World", the FMS initiators will present the key findings of their work together with experts in an online event.
In the current 2025 research phase, the focus is on two megatrends: demographic change and advancing automation. Demographic change is leading to an aging workforce and an increasing shortage of skilled workers, while technological advances are creating new opportunities to automate processes.
Our session joins the MPI's Global Meetings Industry Day which is the largest and most important event of the year for meeting professionals worldwide.
