Food is an essential component of most events. Coffee breaks, lunches and dinners provide sustenance to hungry attendees, but also enable the networking we look to promote. However, more often than not, there is more food available than is actually consumed, resulting in waste.

In the UK alone it is estimated that approximately 10 million tonnes of food are wasted as a result of events every year. Globally, the figure is incalculable. The impact of food waste is not only financial. Its production also consumes energy and water food which, in turn, generates additional greenhouse gases - further contributing to the environmental crisis. To move forward and become more sustainable we need to change our habits.

During our interactive session, we will present studies and best practices, and different ways you can reduce food waste at your next event.
